WebTo solve that issue just add a small dome tweeter crossed over at around 13KHz with a proper low pass on the original tweeter. The crossover should be the same order as the tweeter's crossover. That way you still get the full sound of the speakers, but you also get the proper reproduction of frequencies above 13KHz.
